Welcome to Buko. By using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use Buko.

1. About Buko

Buko is a mobile application that helps parents discover local services for children, connect with other parents, and receive AI-powered parenting guidance. Buko is a marketplace and information platform — we do not directly provide childcare, educational, medical, or therapeutic services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Buko is designed for parents and caregivers, not for use by children. By creating an account, you represent that you are a legal adult in your jurisdiction.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information current.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@hellobuko.com.

4. AI-Powered Guidance

Buko's AI assistant provides general parenting information and suggestions. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or educational advice.

• AI responses are generated by third-party language models and may contain inaccuracies.
• Always consult qualified professionals for medical concerns, mental health issues, or legal matters relating to your children.
• Buko does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

5. Local Services and Businesses

Buko displays local businesses sourced from third-party data providers (such as Google Places) and from user recommendations.

• Buko does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the quality, safety, or licensing of any listed business.
• Match scores and recommendations are algorithmic suggestions, not endorsements.
• You are solely responsible for evaluating and selecting any service provider for your family.
• Business information (hours, phone, address) may be outdated or inaccurate.

6. User Content

You may submit content including recommendations, reviews, messages, and profile information ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you:

• Grant Buko a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content within the app and related communications (such as recommendation emails to businesses).
• Represent that your User Content is truthful and does not violate any third party's rights.
• Agree not to post content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or illegal.

We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms.

7. Connections and Messaging

• Buko facilitates connections between parents. We do not screen or verify users beyond optional identity verification.
• Exercise appropriate caution when communicating with other users, especially regarding sharing personal information or arranging in-person meetings.
• Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to safety@hellobuko.com.

8. Buko Pro

Buko offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("Buko Pro") with enhanced features. Pro subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's subscription terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use Buko for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Spam or send unsolicited commercial messages
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app's operation
• Submit false reviews or recommendations

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Buko and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

• Decisions made based on AI-generated guidance
• Interactions with businesses found through the app
• Interactions with other users
• Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Buko is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of Buko after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
